Author's description

Because the EX-1 was so hugely successful, Iron Ridge decided to make a predecessor, and they did. Imagine the EX-1, but it has more power, a better paint scheme, the latest monitor tech, floodlights, and 12x zoom cameras. That's the EX-2. It remains IR's best-selling spacecraft to date, and rightly so. It can be used to search for lost batteries in the dark, for trips to Earth's second satellite, Aundura, or even trips to the bottom of the ocean. An EX-2 was actually retrofitted with thrusters capable of underwater propulsion, and it was able to make two trips 1.1 miles underwater to collect lost packages on Aundura. TL; DR: For its place in the timeline, this is one of the most capable pre-Baobara spacecraft you'll come across, and it was built by Iron Ridge.

How to install this ship

  1. Download the ZIP. Every download contains two files with matching names — a .bp and a .bpmeta. You need both: the .bp is the ship, the .bpmeta holds its name. A .bp on its own will not appear in the game.
  2. Unzip into the Blueprints folder. Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\ApproximatelyGames\ApproximatelyUp\Blueprints into Explorer's address bar and drop both files there. Keep their filenames exactly as they are — the game pairs them by name.
  3. Restart and open the blueprint menu. The game reads the folder on startup, so restart it. Open the blueprint menu, find the ship by its name and load it. Test it next to a garage before flying a mission.
